Live order flow

Liquidity heatmap

A Bookmap-style view of the live order book: bright bands are large resting limit orders, bubbles are big executed trades and the right edge shows current depth. Crypto only — real-time data straight from the exchange's public websocket in your browser. Gold uses the order book of tokenized gold (PAXG/XAUT) as a proxy; free order books for spot gold, silver and forex don't exist.

Choose a market

How to use it

  1. Type any USDT pair (for example BTC, PEPE or LINKUSDT) or tap a popular market.
  2. Wait 20–30 seconds while the page collects live order-book history. The status line counts up.
  3. Use Zoom to set how far above and below the price to show, Window for how many minutes of history fit on screen, and Contrast to make thinner liquidity visible.
  4. Set Big trade to choose which executed trades appear as bubbles, and switch on candles to overlay 1-minute candles with candlestick-pattern labels.
  5. Pause freezes the picture so you can study it. New data is not recorded while paused, so you will see a gap after you resume.

How to read it

  • Heatmap: each column is one second; brightness shows how much is resting on the book at that price (dark → blue → red → orange → white for the largest walls). Bands that persist are liquidity that other traders can see; bands that vanish just before price arrives were pulled.
  • Bubbles: executed trades at or above the “Big trade” threshold, sized by notional. Cyan = the buyer hit the ask, magenta = the seller hit the bid.
  • Right edge: the current depth per price (bids green, asks red).
  • History starts when you open the page (the exchanges don't publish historic order-book snapshots for free) and keeps the last 30 minutes.
  • Stocks, forex, indices and other commodities have no free public order book. Their asset pages show a volume heatmap built from real price/volume bars instead, labelled as such. US stocks with a tokenized version on OKX (xStocks) show that live order book as a proxy.

Frequently asked questions

Is this the real order book?

Yes, for crypto pairs. It is the public order book streamed from Binance (or OKX as a fallback) straight to your browser. Gold uses tokenized gold (PAXG or XAUT) as a labelled proxy. Stocks and forex have no free public order book, so their asset pages show a labelled volume heatmap instead.

Why does the history only start when I open the page?

Exchanges do not publish historical order-book snapshots for free, so the heatmap builds its history from the moment you open it and keeps the last 30 minutes.

Why do bright bands disappear before price reaches them?

Large orders can be cancelled at any time. Walls that vanish as price approaches were pulled, which is common and is one reason resting liquidity is not a reliable signal on its own.

What counts as a big trade?

Any executed trade at or above the “Big trade” threshold you set, measured in USDT notional. Lower it to see more bubbles, or raise it to show only the largest prints.
